  1. Christianity has been losing it’s grip on it’s followers since Galileo.

  2. Actually, we’ve been expecting this for about 2,000 years. Our Book speaks of it…
While I am sad, in a way, for the people who are missing out, it is also encouraging, because it means this world is truly almost over, and we’ll be Home soon.
Rev 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
This prophecy refers to someone (or something) called “the beast”. This “beast” is going to “make war with the saints”…(that’d be Christians)…and “overcome” them.
That means that Christians are going to die out, or at the very least, be forced underground.
But don’t get too excited about it when you see this happening….
    Because it’s not over yet.

  3. No. Christians 33% of the world. Atheists, agnostics and non religious. 12-15% of the world’s population, with actual atheists comprising about one quarter of that number.

  4. I heard that Catholicism was losing followers in the US and that the amount of nonbelievers was increasing. I wasn’t aware that Christianity as a whole was losing followers, but I cannot say I’m surprised.

  5. Mainline, liberal Christianity is declining because it isn’t much different than secularism. Evangelicals and Pentecostals are still growing, especially in third world countries. Christianity is becomming more worldwide and less western.

  6. Certainly in the “western civilised world” it is. In countries like ours that decline has been going on for at least the past century. I’m proud to say I contributed by leaving the church behind myself.

  7. Yes. You are referring to the ARIS report 2008.
It measured religious trends in the United States. You cannot make any conclusions about the rest of the world based on it.

  8. crucifixion?
It’s all a part of their sado-masochistic self-fulfilling prophecy and fantasizing. All that is left now for them to look forward to is Armageddon.
    How sad.

  9. That’s fine. I honestly could care less. People have the right to do whatever they want. I am going to stick to my faith. The few of us that remain will just be unique, and I have no problem with being different.

  10. unfortunately in times of crisis the number of evangelicals actually go up
    statistics also say this

  11. This is true. People claiming to have no religion has risen significantly, also.

  12. HALLELUJAH!(pun intended)

  13. Christians have been leaving since King Herny the Eight.
sad to see so many atheist :(

  14. Yes I knew that.

  15. Well did you know that most all religions are dying out. Not just christianity. Some Catholic churches are being sold or abandoned because people stop going to them. Other religions are just shutting down because of various problems. So before you go thinking that your faith is more power full than every bodies elses do a little more research.
