It seems that any republican running would have encountered the same problem. McCain voted along his party lines. 1 in 10 times he went against his party, which is actually a lot. So, this little slogan that Obama’s followers live by could be interchangeable with any republican, correct? It is scary to think of how many people a “commercial type jingle” worked on.

Besides… McCain’s gonna die from health problems and Palin’s gonna run 0_0 ….. Obama also isnt keeping us in Iraq for 5 more years. Obama is giving middle class families more help. McCain is spending money and is being VERY negative in his advertising. He’s is being nasty to someone who wants to help America. that shows how he’s gonna treat the rest of the country… besides McCain voted like and for Bush 90% of the time 0_0. He’s the next Bush.
Well, its not about the “commercial type jingle” but the fact that something has to be done. Statistics prove that political ads don’t actually change people’s beliefs or side, but if they AREN’T done then it will affect people’s opinions. So Obama has to do them just so he isn’t negatively affected.
Ads aren’t done to change minds but to keep minds from changing.
It’s very possible. It was the thing that was at the forefront of his campaign from the beginning (change from the current system), and race relations. I say that because whether his supporters like it or not that is what the “more perfect union” speech was about.
Yes. However, it helps that McCain proclaimed himself SO close to Bush. Note that McCain would, for the most part, also be making the same claims against any other Dem – how many times have we heard the “tax and spend liberal” charge?
